Engraving Spindle
Standard 800watt (1HP) spindle with
a depth regulating nose attachment. The
spindle can be locked after the floating
attachment has been removed. Depth
adjustments made by turning a knurled
wheel. |
|

|
High Frequency Spindles
Available in various sizes, the High Frequency (HF)
spindles offer a variable speed controlled by an
electronic frequency drive. The HF spindles have
upgraded bearings with less runout over the life
of the spindle. These spindles are more
expensive than the 800watt spindle, but for
production work they offer less downtime and the
ability to take a larger cut without loading
down the motor. The HF spindles use typical ER
20 collets. |

|
2D Vacuum Shroud
Floating vacuum shroud. Placed on the Z axis
around the cutter, this floating shroud
eliminates most of the chips created in the
cutting area when connected to a vacuum system. |
|
 |
|
Tool Sensor
Included with all CharlyUSA machines, the
Tool Sensor compensates for the difference in
the length of cutting tools being used. When
installed, the machine will plunge down and the
cutter will touch the probe sensing the length
of the installed cutter. |
|
 |
|
Automatic Tool Changer
(Not available on the 4U machines). The tool
changer on the 2U has 5 different tool
locations. The tool is located in a holder and
placed in the changer. When the program prompts
for a different tool, the machine moves to the
existing tool location and unloads the tools
then moves to the new location and inserts the
new tool |

|
Remote Control
Pendant
Allows the user to manually control
the machine without going to the
computer. Setting the offset location
for machining, jog speed and jog
directions are all done with separate
buttons on the pendant. |

|
Micro-Lubrication
The micro-lubrication option provides an
adjustable mist directly to the bit, providing a
cooling effect without the use of flood coolant.
We recommend this option when extensively
machining metals. |

| Vacuum Pump |
|
 |
|
Vacuum Table
Allows for holding down of sheet
components on MDF or a porous material.
The vacuum hold down is placed on the
bed of the machine and a switch is
placed on the faceplate of the machine
allowing the user to select whether the
vacuum switches on manually,
automatically with the spindle, or if
the vacuum is disabled. |

|
800 Watt Spindle
Variable speed spindle operating at 10,000 –
30,000 RPM. The speed is controlled by a
potentiometer on the front panel of the machine.
Typically an excellent and affordable option for
prototyping and non-production work. |
|
 |
|
4th Axis
Rotary axis for 2U and 4U machines. The rotary
axis is a horizontal rotary along the X axis.
This allows for double sided machining or
constant rotary machining. The Rotary axis comes
with a 4 jaw chuck and a tailstock. The 4th axis
on the 4U machine takes most of the work area
but on the 2U machine, you still have work area
for standard 3 axis machining when the 4th axis
is mounted. |

Air-Cool Option
Instead of using a fine mist, the air-cool
option is a dry system using compressed air thru
a vortex tube. The air coming out of the vortex
is far cooler allowing for a longer tool life. |
